Job Description

Shift: 2:00 PM-10:30 PM

Hourly Rate: $22.86 an hour + $1.00 shift differential

Reporting to the Quality Team Leader, you will support plant quality activities through microbiological testing, analytical evaluation, and accurate documentation.

A Taste of Your Responsibilities

  • You will prepare and maintain microbiological laboratory testing reagents and equipment.
  • You will perform tests to ensure our quality standards are met.
  • You will input data into computer systems to maintain a permanent record of all finished analyses.
  • You will follow basic direction and make decisions based on company specifications.
  • You will identify differences from standard specifications and notify management when such differences are found.
  • You will work well in team settings and collaborate with multiple departments including operations, maintenance, corporate partners, and outside vendors.
  • You will support plant operations by providing coverage during lab technician absenteeism and vacation periods, which may require flexible shifts, overtime, or weekend work.
  • You will perform other tasks as assigned.

  • You can walk, stand, bend, climb, twist, lift up to approximately 40 pounds, and stack materials.
  • You can follow direction and apply company specifications when making decisions.
  • You can work effectively in a team-oriented environment and communicate well across departments.
  • You can work flexible hours including overtime and weekends as needed.
  • You are comfortable working in a facility containing allergens and sensitizing agents, including Wheat, Soy, Barley (Canadian regulations), and Sulfites (Canadian regulations).
  • You can perform laboratory tasks including preparation of reagents, handling of microbiological materials, and accurate data entry.
